SMS Messaging Terms
Certified Flood Adjusters, Inc. ("CFA") sends text messages to policyholders in connection with active flood insurance claims assigned to our firm.
How We Obtain Your Consent
CFA does not collect phone numbers through this website and does not purchase, rent, or otherwise acquire phone numbers from third parties.
When you file a flood insurance claim, you provide your mobile telephone number on the FEMA Loss Notice and related claim documentation for the express purpose of claim communication. Your insurance carrier or the independent adjusting firm managing your claim assigns that claim to CFA and transmits your contact information to us as part of the assignment.
CFA's first written contact identifies us as the adjusting firm assigned to your claim and informs you that we will send text messages regarding that claim, including opt-out instructions.
What Messages You Will Receive
Messages relate solely to your own active flood insurance claim and may include:
- Inspection appointment scheduling and appointment time windows
- Confirmation and reminder messages for scheduled inspections
- Requests for documentation or information needed to process your claim
- Claim status updates
- Adjuster contact and follow-up communication
CFA does not send marketing, promotional, or advertising messages of any kind.
Message Frequency
Message frequency varies based on the status and complexity of your claim. Most policyholders receive between two and ten messages over the life of a claim.
Cost
Message and data rates may apply. CFA does not charge for text messages. Charges, if any, are determined by your mobile carrier and your plan.
How to Opt Out
Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving text messages from CFA. You will receive a single confirmation message and no further texts.
Opting out of text messages does not end your claim or your relationship with CFA. We will continue to communicate with you by telephone, email, or mail as required to process your claim.
To resume text messages after opting out, reply START.
How to Get Help
Reply HELP to any message for assistance, or contact us at chris@cfadjusters.com.
Carriers
Supported carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Privacy of Your Mobile Information
Information necessary to process your claim, including your contact information, is shared with your insurance carrier and the independent adjusting firm that assigned your claim, as required to adjust and settle the claim. This is claim processing, not marketing.
