Who We Are

Certified Flood Adjusters, Inc. ("CFA") is an independent flood insurance adjusting firm operating within the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP). We handle claims on behalf of insurance carriers and independent adjusting firms.

Information We Collect

In the course of adjusting flood insurance claims, CFA may collect and process the following information:

Policyholder name, mailing address, phone number, and email address
Property address and loss location information
Claim documentation, photographs, and inspection reports
Damage estimates and supporting data
FEMA Loss Notice and related claim forms

This information is received from the assigning insurance carrier or independent adjusting firm and directly from the policyholder in connection with an active flood insurance claim.

How We Use It

CFA uses collected information solely to investigate, document, adjust, and report flood insurance claims in accordance with NFIP guidelines and carrier requirements. We do not use personal information for marketing purposes.

How We Share It

CFA shares claim information only as necessary to process and settle the claim:

With the assigning insurance carrier or independent adjusting firm
With FEMA and the NFIP as required by program rules
With service providers acting on our behalf under confidentiality obligations

CFA does not sell, rent, or license personal information to any third party.

Mobile Information and Text Messaging

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All categories of mobile information described in this policy exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent — this information will not be shared with any third party.

Mobile phone numbers are collected only through the claims process, are used only for claim-related communication, and are never sold, rented, or licensed.

Data Retention

Claim records are retained in accordance with NFIP requirements, carrier contractual obligations, and applicable state law. Records are securely disposed of when retention periods expire.

Security

CFA maintains reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

Your Choices

To opt out of text messages, reply STOP to any message from CFA. To request information about personal data CFA holds in connection with your claim, contact us at chris@cfadjusters.com.

Children

CFA's services are not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

CFA may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the date of the most recent revision. Continued use of our services following any update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
